Application to the Nouna region in Burkina-Faso<\/h1>\n<div class=\"tabs\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"node-335\" class=\"node odd full-node node-type-projet_de_recherche\">\n<div class=\"meta\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"content\">\n<p>The production of risk maps based on satellite images gives a new approach of tele-epidemiology.<br \/>\nIn Sudan-Sahel Burkina Faso, Nouna region, malaria is endemic but dependent on rainfall regime.<br \/>\nPaluclim project\u2019s purpose is to study the impact of climatic variability (from seasonal to low frequencies, including tendencies and climate changes) on pluviometry and consequently on risk forecast.<br \/>\nTherefore, a monthly statistical distribution starting from rainfall events and their uncertainties is forecasted and will be available in a monthly report where you will find season forecast, rainfall distribution frequency and vectors\u2019 presence risk maps.<br \/>\nOn a regional scale, pluviometry tendencies and forecasts maps, also including anthropogenic component, will be produced.<br \/>\nForecast of risk areas for population will therefore allow implementing adaptation strategies in order to mitigate climate impacts on daily scale, seasonal scale and on a longer term scale (taking into account climate change).<br \/>\nThe purpose is to prove how these risk maps may contribute to the implementation of health watch politics and be integrated in early warning systems.<br \/>\nEfficient new methods of fight against malaria, decrease of vectors\u2019 number and economical measures could then be established.<\/p>\n<div class=\"field field-type-textfield-field-coordination-apr\">\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"field-label\">Coordinators<\/td>\n<td class=\"field-content\">\n<div class=\"field-item odd\">\n<p><a href=\"mailto:cecile.vignolles@cnes.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C\u00e9cile Vignolles<\/a> &#8211;
