Presentation
The 2012 GICC call for research proposal is now closed. It concerned climate change impacts, the resulting damages or benefits, the actions and policies of mitigation and adaptation in response to this change.
Adaptation was however the central theme of this call, based on two axes: the first one, an overall approach of adaptation actions and strategies by referring to models and scenarios; the second one, the action strategies implemented on a territorial scale to tackle the announced change by evaluating their efficiency through impacts control, vulnerabilities reduction and considering uncertainties.
You will find herewith enclosed (at the top of this page, right handside) the text of the CRP (French version).
An applicant seminar was held to explain the purposes of this call, to encourage teams to make proposals and to possibly prepare and build partnerships between researchers, managers and public decision makers.
THe GICC Steering Committee met on May 30, 2012 to evaluate the 29 proposals received (for a total funding request of approx. 7.8 M€).
Five projects have been selected for a GICC funding:
– VIADUC (P. Dandin)
– HYCCARE-Bourgogne (H. Toussaint)
– REMedhe (D. Ruelland)
– GEPET-Eau (E. Duviella)
– ADAPTATIO (M. Colombert)
Three more projects have been classified on an additional list in case GICC program should be entitled to further funding.
