Agriculture-oriented macroeconomic model for analysing the impact of climate change and the effects of policies in terms of efficiency and equity
Agriculture-oriented macroeconomic model for analysing the impact of climate change and the effects of policies in terms of efficiency and equity
To assess such effects in the long term, it is proposed to develop a general equilibrium macroeconomic model to shed light on the agricultural sector in the broad sense (agriculture, forestry and livestock production). The model will be small sized, dynamic and recursive, will take risk into account and will use the GTAP international database. We aim to focus more specifically on testing hypotheses concerning the mechanisms of emission quotas distributed either on the basis of established rights or per head of population, in order to calculate the possible consequences of each alternative.
