Dans cette dynamique, le GIP Ecofor réaffirme son engagement en faveur des sciences forestières et de la liberté scientifique avec son initiative I Support Forest Science menée avec Science-i à l’occasion de la Journée internationale des forêts 2025. Jusqu’au 21 mars 2025, nous invitons les scientifiques du monde entier à nous envoyer une courte vidéo d’environ 10 secondes. Chaque vidéo débutera par « I support forest science because… », suivi des raisons qui les motivent à défendre la recherche forestière. Ces témoignages seront ensuite diffusés sur les sites internet du GIP Ecofor et de Science-i afin de témoigner de notre engagement et de mettre en lumière l’importance des sciences forestières et, plus largement, de la liberté scientifique. |
Instructions pour soumettre votre vidéo
Pour participer au projet I Support Forest Science, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes :
- Enregistrez une vidéo d’environ 10 secondes en commençant par :
« I support forest science because… » suivi de votre raison. - Hébergez votre vidéo sur un service de votre choix (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.).
- Envoyez un e-mail à communication@gip-ecofor.org avec :
📌 Le lien de téléchargement de votre vidéo (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc)
📌 Votre nom et prénom.
📌 Votre affiliation (université, institut de recherche, entreprise, etc.).
📢 ⚠️ En envoyant votre vidéo, vous acceptez que votre nom, votre affiliation et votre vidéo soient diffusés sur le site du GIP Ecofor et utilisés dans le cadre de notre projet de soutien aux sciences forestières.

| ENGLISH VERSION In echo of Stand Up For Science, the General Assembly of GIP Ecofor affirmed on March 7, 2025, its support for colleagues and research institutions in the United States whose work is being hindered by recent decisions of the U.S. presidency. In this spirit, GIP Ecofor reaffirms its commitment to forest science and scientific freedom through its initiative I Support Forest Science that is launched with Science-i on the occasion of the 2025 International Day of Forests. Until March 21, 2025, we invite scientists from around the world to send us a short 10-second video. Each video should begin with « I support forest science because… », followed by the reasons that drive you to support forest research. These testimonials will be shared on the GIP Ecofor and Science-i websites to showcase our commitment and highlight the importance of forest science and, more broadly, scientific freedom. |
How to submit your video
As part of the I Support Forest Science project, please follow these steps to participate:
- Record a short video (about 10 seconds) starting with:
« I support forest science because… » followed by your reason. - Upload your video to a file-sharing service of your choice (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.).
- Send an email to communication@gip-ecofor.org including:
📌 The download link to your video.
📌 Your full name.
📌 Your affiliation (university, research institute, company, etc.).
📢 By submitting your video, you agree that your name, affiliation, and video may be published on the GIP Ecofor website as part of our initiative to support forest science.
